 LaShawn Merritt (born June 27, 1986) is an American track and field athlete who competes in sprinting events, specializing in the 400 meters. He is a former Olympic champion over the distance and his personal best of 43.74 seconds makes him the fifth fastest of all time. He was a successful junior athlete and won the 400 m gold at the 2004 World Junior Championships in Athletics, as well as setting two world junior records in the relays. He became part of the American 4×400 meter relay team and helped win the event at the 2006 IAAF World Indoor Championships.

He established himself individually in 2007 by winning a silver medal in the 400 m at the 2007 World Championships. He came out on top of a rivalry with Jeremy Wariner in 2008 by winning in the 2008 Olympic final in a personal best time, and by a record margin. He also broke the Olympic record in the relay with the American team, recording the second fastest time ever. Merritt established himself as the World Champion with a win at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics in the 400 m and the 4×400 m relay.  In October 2010, he was suspended for 2 months for failing a drug test.

6'2" Kent Koch, a senior college baseball player at St. Cloud State, is also the mayor of Loretto, Minn.   He is one busy boy!  Once he even wore his baseball socks to a city council meeting because he forgot to bring his dress ones.

Benjamin Christopher "Ben" Cohen, MBE (born 1978) is an English activist and former England rugby union international player. He began his professional career with Northampton Saints in 996; in 2007 he moved to France to represent Brive before returning to England two years later to join Sale Sharks. In May 20, Cohen retired from professional rugby, and will focus on The Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation he created to combat homophobia and bullying.   You can see lots more photos of Ben in his gallery right here.

Nemanja Vidić (Serbian Cyrillic: Немања Видић,  born 2 98) is a Serbian footballer who captains English club Manchester United. He was part of the Serbian national team from 2002 to 2011. After establishing himself at Red Star Belgrade during the early 2000s, Vidić moved to Spartak Moscow in the summer of 2004. He further increased his reputation when he was part of the "Famous Four" Serbian national team defense that conceded just one goal during the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign. He would later sign for Manchester United for around £7 million in January 2006 before establishing a prominent defensive partnership with Rio Ferdinand the following season and earning a reputation for defensive consistency and awareness.

He left Manchester United at the end of his contract in July 2014, joining Inter on a free transfer. Vidić collected a host of honours in his United career, including three consecutive Premier League titles (five titles in total), the UEFA Champions League, the FIFA World Club Cup, three League Cup medals, as well as being included in three consecutive (four in total) PFA Team of the Year sides from 2007 to 2009. In the 2008–09 season, he helped United to a record-breaking run of 14 consecutive clean sheets and was awarded the Barclays Player of the Season. He also collected both the club's Fans' and Players' Player of the Year awards. At the start of the 2010–11 season, Vidić was selected as the new team captain of Manchester United. He collected his second Premier League Player of the Season award in 2010–11.
