BIG DON WEHO
CHILDHOOD GALLERY

big don weho baby I born in 1965 and was adopted when I was one month old in Cincinnati, Ohio.  My sister was adopted three years later.  I don't know who my real parents were except that my mother war born in 1945 in Germany after the war.  She came to America as a little girl and fell in love with a guy who got his GED in the Navy and worked for Cincinnati Bell as a repairman.  She got pregnant at 18 and knew they were too young to marry and have a child.  So I was given to the St. Josephs' Infant Home and adopted by a Catholic couple.

My mom and dad agreed to raise me Catholic in order to adopt me.  This caused big problems as they both were born into huge Catholic families during the depression.  They didn't really ever experience being parented themselves which makes people insecure and conflicted.

For example, when I was little I had a big head and a skinny body and kids mercilessly called me names. So my mother made sure to give me a haircut which maximized the big head effect.  Why?  And she later became a hairdresser by trade!

I did not know it at the time by my biological mother was also a hairdresser. The adoption agency didn't just hook up black kids with black parents and german kids with german parents, they also tried to link the parents jobs.  So either way I was trapped having a hairdresser for a parent!  Ditsy!

Oh well, water under the bridge!
